July Picnic

Barbeque, hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, desserts and more were enjoyed by FBA members during its summer picnic get-together, held at Cloud 9 Relaxation Home. A huge THANK-YOU! to Janet Shisler for opening her property to members. Don't forget to visit the Cloud 9 web site to learn more about this wonderful vacation home—perfect for family reunions, or for out-of-town guests when your home just isn't large enough.

NEWS From The Chapel Door
Website

The Chapel Door is building a home! Our congregation opened its doors in October 2003, secured land at 22 Joe Jenkins Road, and is now in the final stages of approving plans for our 4,000 square foot building in our permanent location.

The new facility will provide much needed improved worship space, developmentally appropriate education space for children through adults, and convenient and accessible parking. Our land development plan includes a soccer field, a community resource facility and youth coffee house, a pavilion, and additional buildings for worship, education and fellowship. Once we are established in our new location, we will project a time-table for the remaining development plans. We expect to break ground this fall.

Kudos and Thank You Corner

We'd like to introduce a new feature to our members: A vehicle to thank other members for their assistance, good service, referrals etc., and a way to shine a light on your business when you promote someone, win an award, get credentialed, etc. Send your thank-yous and kudos to newsletter editor.

I'd like to commend Stephen Herbert with Edward Jones. He has been a tremendous help with my clients as well as with referrals. I'm always hesitant about referring my clients to anyone, but Stephen has been a delight to work with, is very competent and knowledgeable.

After Stephen Wilson created locust posts including one that was 6' tall, Twigwork's Anne Tansey installed her beautiful laurel "twigs" in our staircase. More photos here.
